Latest news on Carwynnen Quoit

The phase 2 Heritage Lottery Fund bid is being prepared for the re-erection of Carwynnen Quoit.

Pip Richards is to give a talk at Helston Guildhall at 7.30 on Monday 25th January on the story so far and the future plans for the monument.

A school education pack has been prepared by the Cornwall Heritage Trust.

Available as a pdf file it can be found on our Conservation Page. School and group outings are welcome here by arrangement.

Funding for exploration and resurrection of this unique 8000 year old heritage item is being sought. Help is always valued.

Woodland at Clowance

The new Green Oak bridge in Crenver Grove is finished, re-opening the north path around the Grove. Thanks go to Will Gilchrist for working in such adverse weather conditions

New signboards are in place too, and a brochure has been printed. The brochures will be distributed around the district in the near future, but do contact us if you would like a copy

The Sustainable Trust are now working with Chyan Community Field and Cornwall Waste Action to promote outdoor education for all ages. The collaboration is known as TWIG, The Woodland Initiative Group. A website and information brochure are under construction. The group may be contacted at twig@twigsonline.org.uk

We now have a large amount of used tree guards available free to tree planters.
